2026 SEEDS Peninsula Prom
Prom 2026 is open to homeschoolers (students in grades 9th-12th) in the the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. In addition, each homeschooler is allowed to purchase a ticket for ONE homeschooled or non-homeschooled guest. All attendees are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct and Dress Code. We ask that you carefully read all rules before purchasing your ticket.

DRESS CODE
- Prom is a formal occasion. Modest, appropriate prom wear should be worn. Please help us avoid embarrassing moments at the door.
- No jeans, no t-shirts, and NO TENNIS SHOES/SNEAKERS (Converse-style shoes MAY be worn). Anyone arriving in these items will be asked to return home for appropriate attire.
- No undergarments of any kind may be visible, including decorative bras.
- All attendees will dress according to their biological gender.
- Guys: Suits or tuxedo. Reminder, no tennis shoes/sneakers, however converse style shoes are allowed.
- Ladies:
- Length: Dresses with a length no higher than the top of the knee when in a normal standing position. If the dress skirt is sheer, the opaque portion must be no higher than the top of the knee. Dress length will be checked at door. No slits higher than the top of the knee.
- Back and Neckline: No backless dresses (plunging back that reaches the waist). No plunging or deep V-neck necklines. Strapless is allowed if it meets the neckline/back requirements.
- No bare midriffs and/or two piece dresses with bare midriff. No cutouts or mesh cutouts in dresses are allowed.

- If you arrive in a wrap or other covering and the outfit underneath doesn’t meet the dress code, you will be asked to keep the covering on for the evening.
- Please understand modesty is the goal; therefore, if a dress meets the code at the door, yet becomes an issue while dancing, you will need to add leggings and/or a covering.
CODE OF CONDUCT AND ELIGIBILITY
- SEEDS is a Christian organization and our beliefs will be upheld at the event. Dress, conduct, music, and language must all adhere to a biblical standard.
- Participants must be in grades nine through twelve at the time of the prom.
- Prom tickets are required to be admitted into the prom.
- Participants are limited to homeschooled students and their guests, one guest per student. Guests are not required to be homeschoolers.
- Same-sex friends may attend as the plus one guest; however, a same-sex date is not permitted.
- Everyone must check-in upon arrival. Once admitted to the prom, students will not be allowed to leave and re-enter.
- This is a chaperoned event. Attendees agree to respect the authority of all chaperones and adult supervisors.
- Attendees will stay within the physical boundaries set for the event and not leave the premises or venture into areas designated as off-limits.
- Dancing must remain clean and appropriate. Suggestive or dangerous (i.e., mosh pit) dancing will not be permitted. No PDA allowed.
- Absolutely no tobacco, alcohol, vaping, weapons, or drugs of any nature are permitted. If a chaperone has reason to believe any of the rules have been broken, the student will be required to speak to the event director and parents will be called to come to pick them up.
- By allowing your teen to attend this event, parents agree to hold harmless SEEDS, the event venue, and their representatives in the event of accident or injury.
- Parents providing transportation for attendees are responsible for arriving by the scheduled end time of 9 pm. Any attendee needing to leave early must make arrangements ahead of time.
- Mature behavior is expected. If a student is asked to leave the Prom by a chaperone, a parent will be called. No refund will be issued.
